
Corporate website for PFERD tools

August Rüggeberg GmbH and its PFERD brand have had a completely redesigned website based on FirstSpirit since July 2017. I-D Media was responsible for the conception, implementation and roll-out with the FirstSpirit CMS. The design was created by the I-D Media Group.
The aim of the relaunch was not only to give the company a visually appealing presence, but also to make it easier for users to find information on the more than eight thousand PFERD tools.
Special features of the website
- Reduction and concentration on the essentials as a strategic stylistic device, resulting in a consistent focus on the products.
- Generation of the structure of the products within FirstSpirit on the basis of a Solr core.
- Automatic creation and filling of over eight thousand physical product detail and overview pages for each country and language variant.
- Filter-based product area for the target group of expert users.
- Advanced search functions: In addition to faceting and filtering the search suggestions, a synonym word search based on expert knowledge is particularly worth mentioning.
